3 days in Panama

Situated on the east coast of Panama, the island of Bocas del Toro features breathtaking views and relaxing blue ocean waters, perfect for a extended weekend getaway.  


The journey will take you from Panama City's International Airport, a short taxi cab ride over to Albrook Airport, where you board a small prop plane that will take you to the many islands surrounding Panama.  Within an hour, you will arrive in Bocas del Toro. 


In Bocas del Toro, we met our host and drove through the city to a hidden dock, and took a short boat ride to our water retreat.


For less than $200 a night, we found the the perfect getaway on VRBO.  Our boat took us to a little cove where there were just four homes surrounded by water.  We were in our own private paradise, over looking the water, fishing, paddle boarding, and snorkeling from dawn till tusk.

With a bungalow over the water, just drop in your fishing line and catch your next meal.  Bring some essential spices with you and stop by the local market on your way in.

Hipódromo Presidente Remón is a locals spot at night.  Enjoy plenty of island favorites,great music and catch the races.
